Later tonight, I will be taking the stage to debate my two fellow primary opponents — and it’ll be the final time we get to share our vision on the same stage before voters receive their ballots in the mail next week.
While all three of us are proud Democrats, there are a lot of differences between us and tonight, I won’t be afraid to make some of those differences clear. Here’s a preview of some topics I plan to cover tonight:
- I’m the only candidate in this primary who is an unapologetic proponent of Medicare for All. We’ve been all-in from day one on this topic — because we know that universal health care makes life less precarious for working Montanans, and we can’t be rationing off care.
- I’m the only candidate in this primary who is a proud union member and will always fight to protect worker rights. Unfortunately, one of our opponents has even coordinated directly with one of the union-busting consulting firms that’s sold out working Montanans.
- Most importantly, I’m the only candidate in this primary who can defeat Ryan Zinke in November because our campaign isn’t going to make the same mistakes Democrats have made in previous elections in our state.
You’ve been with our campaign every step of the way, and I am so grateful for your support. But with the establishment trying to ensure their hand-picked candidate wins this primary, we MUST have a strong showing at tonight’s debate.
