I've been in Washington, DC this week, and I’m not going to sugar-coat it: while the news about the end of Roe v. Wade has galvanized our party, a lot of Democrats are very pessimistic about our chance to protect the Democratic majority this November.

I joined protestors at the Supreme Court this week, and the anger and fear were palpable. It became clear to me: We can’t win a fight if we've decided to lose.

If you are committed to this fight, will you rush $3 or more to BACKROADS PAC today?

In my meetings, folks are expressing concern that the Democratic base is checked out, and grassroots donations are plummeting. They are worried that even the downfall of Roe might not motivate enough Democrats to get involved.

I know there’s plenty to be frustrated about, but we’ve fought too damn hard to give our democracy over to the Republicans seeking to destroy it. If that’s not motivating enough, I don’t know what is.
