I’ll be attending a candidate forum tonight to discuss my position on the issues that you care about most – such as health care, reproductive justice, education, climate change, and the rising price of essentials like gas and groceries.

I’m grateful to the Illinois Muslim Civic Coalition and the NAACP for hosting this event and giving candidates the opportunity to connect with voters – an integral part of my campaign.

In 2021 alone, I attended over 160 community events to listen and speak with folks about their top priorities.

But most of my potential Republican opponents will not be in attendance – they’re already declining to show up for their community, and they will continue to be negligent in Congress if they flip this seat.

And two of these no-show Republicans just got added to the National Republican Congressional Committee's On the Radar list – which means the GOP thinks they have a path to victory in IL-06.

And they’ll be flooding this race with outside spending and attack ads to try to make that happen.
