Covid vaccine clinics for 5 to 11 year olds

The Royal Oldham Hospital are running Covid vaccine clinics every day for 5–11 year olds.

Appointments are bookable through the National Booking Service ([link removed]) or by ringing the hub directly on 0161 627 8102.

Those who have recently recovered from Covid should still come forward for their vaccination, as having had the virus does not give the same levels of protection. Anyone over 18 who has had Covid will need to wait four weeks before having any dose of the vaccine, or 12 weeks for those aged 12 to 17.

Could you be a foster carer?

Foster Care Fortnight 2022 will take place from 9–22 May.

This year's theme is #FosteringCommunities to celebrate the strength and resilience of fostering communities and all they do to ensure children are cared for and supported to thrive.

This year Oldham Council is celebrating our fantastic fostering community. From our fabulous carers to our fostering staff, they all play a vital role in looking after Oldham’s most vulnerable children and young people.

We urgently need more people to foster in Oldham so if you've ever thought fostering might be something you'd like to do click here ([link removed]) for more information or phone 0161 770 6600.

All carers receive a tailored support package, first class training and generous payments and allowances, up to £556 per week (dependent on skills and experience).
