John, I’ve said it over and over again: There will not be a ban on abortion as long as I’m governor of Minnesota. But in this dangerous time, we need to do more. If the Supreme Court opinion is released and Roe v. Wade is overturned, Minnesota will be one of the only states in our region that will provide access to safe and legal abortion. That only increases the urgency of protecting reproductive rights in Minnesota, including access to abortion – because when bills regarding a woman’s right to choose are sent to the governor’s desk here in Minnesota, it’s up to the person who holds that office to decide the fate of abortion rights and access in our state. As long as I have the honor of holding this office, I will not sign laws that restrict access to abortions in our state. Minnesota is a leader in reproductive rights in our region and across our country. We can’t go backwards. Virtually every Republican running against Lt. Governor Flanagan and me are staunchly anti-choice. With stakes this high, we can’t afford to leave anything to chance. My campaign is working to redouble our efforts to inform Minnesotans about the stakes of this election, but according to my fundraising team, we still need to raise $14,451 by the end of the day to fund our revised plans. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: This isn’t about politics. This is about public health and what freedoms we enjoy as Minnesotans. I’ll fight tooth and nail to protect abortion rights and access. Thank you for standing with me. I’m grateful, Tim Walz
