Let’s Call It What It Is – “Corruption”

I have not heard the word “corruption” associated with the Dobbs Opinion Leak, which I find odd.  Because that’s all it is – corruption.

I think the reason we have not heard the word is because we tend to associate corruption in government with personal gain – a judge gets paid off, a politco is in the pocket of a gangster, or a bureaucrat gets kickbacks for a contract.  The Dobbs Opinion Leak is not about personal gain, it’s about ideology, but ideological corruption is corruption, nonetheless.  And let’s be honest and note that ideological corruption, particularly when it comes to social issues, is about personal gain, the personal gain is just not monetary.  That personal gain may also be indirect, a politician gains votes that...
