I know firsthand the obstacles that Nida will face running for Congress as a proud Muslim woman and progressive.

Nida has already faced vicious lies and attacks on her candidacy from prominent Republicans.

We need to build an unprecedented coalition of progressives from across North Carolina to fight back against their hate and lies.

I met Nida at a political event in 2019. I was so inspired by her story, passion for progressive policies, and activism in her community. I feel connected not only because of our shared experiences of breaking barriers at the state level, but also because we put in the work for the people we represent.

We need more strong progressives in Congress who are rooted in their communities and who will fight for transformational policies like Medicare for All and a Green New Deal. We need more people like Nida who understand the urgency of the issues we’re fighting for.

Nida is in this race to fight for a brighter future, and she’s the only one in the race who is not accepting corporate PAC money. That’s how I know she will be a game-changing ally in Congress, and why we need to support her through grassroots fundraising.
