Friend, Massachusetts' tax haul last month was record-shattering. You know what's also record-shattering? The price of just about everything, from gas and diesel to corn and soybeans. The Democrats running Beacon Hill could easily meet today and give citizens some relief in the way of temporarily suspending fuel taxes as neighboring states have done, or any other of a number of ideas. Yet I don't sense much urgency when I read comments from Democrats like this one: Rep. Mark Cusack, a Braintree Democrat who co-chairs the panel, said lawmakers have not had enough time to fully vet the tax cut package Baker rolled out in January. “The governor wanting it is one thing, but there’s 155 members of the House and 40 in the Senate. There’s a lot more that goes into it than saying ‘I want it, so do it,'” Cusack told the News Service. “We need more time to game out that process.” I'm old enough to remember when the Democrats wanted across-the-board pay raises, so they did it immediately. This is same individual who called a proposal to temporarily shelve the state gas tax a "gimmick." Together, we can beat them. Donate today. Providing taxpayers with relief at a time like this is no "gimmick." Let's hold the Democrats accountable. Can I count on you to help out our Republican candidates by chipping in with a donation?
