The situation at the embattled steel plant in Mariupol is “critical” as the last Ukrainian fighters in the port city face “constant storming” by Russian forces, despite Moscow’s promises of a cease-fire, as the Washington Post reports.

Russia Attacks Ukrainian Infrastructure
Russia is intensifying strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, seeking to disrupt deliveries of Western weapons as Moscow’s offensive in the east appears to have stalled. Ukraine’s state railway operator said Thursday that 46 passenger trains were delayed by up to 11 hours due to damage from the Russian strikes, as the WSJ reports.
