I’m Zach Spitz from J Street’s Government Affairs Team.

Next week, my team will be holding online training sessions for grassroots
J Street advocates ahead of virtual advocacy meetings with senators and
representatives, and I’d love for you to join us!

Together, we'll show our leaders that a clear majority of voters support
strong, principled, values-driven leadership -- and that right-leaning
groups like AIPAC do not speak for our community.

Too often in Washington, right-wing voices try to dominate the
conversation. They work to block those who support Israel's democratic
future by attacking leaders who stand up to the settlement movement and
who speak out for Palestinian rights and freedoms.

To fight back, we need to show up. That means making sure representatives
hear from our community directly.

We’ll be showing that not only can Members of Congress support Israel’s
security while strongly pushing back against the settlement movement and
speaking out for Palestinian freedoms, but that such leadership is both
urgent and necessary if we are to secure a just, free and peaceful future
for Israelis and Palestinians.

Advocacy Week involves joining an online training session next week and
then one, two or three 30-minute Zoom meetings with your Members of
Congress the following week. We’ll send your meeting schedule next week if
you’re able to join us.

If you’ve never joined a congressional meeting before, don’t worry! Our
team of expert advocates will answer questions and provide the materials
you need -- the first step is signing up so we can get in touch.
