John, with all that’s going on, you may have missed the massive announcement that Donald Trump just endorsed one of my extremist opponents. It’s telling that during such a critical time in our nation’s history in our fight to protect our civil liberties, Trump would make me the FIRST incumbent Democrat to have a Trump-endorsed opponent.
We know my seat is a must-win for the extremist GOP. I’m the only Democrat running for re-election to have won a Trump district twice, and we can’t afford to lose the House in 2022 – not when so much is at stake.
In the recent round of primaries from Ohio to Indiana, all of Trump’s endorsed candidates won. This is another alarming signal that the GOP has fully embraced extremism and is willing to take us back into the 20th century with regressive policies.
