Friend, it's Gary. You've probably heard already, but reports suggest that the Supreme Court is preparing to OVERTURN Roe v. Wade. In other words: The Supreme Court appears poised to destroy abortion rights in this country as we know it and impose cruel new restrictions on women’s health care.

And let’s be clear: This was the culmination of a decades-long effort by Republicans to overturn Roe v. Wade. If Republicans had their way – they would pass legislation to make abortion illegal across the country with no exceptions.

Just like it is for so many Americans, this issue is deeply personal to me. I shared my family’s story with abortion because families all across the country face similar heartbreaking tragedies and incredibly difficult choices each and every day.

I can’t reiterate this enough: If the conservative justices vote to strike down Roe v. Wade – which appears likely – it will result in very real and tragic consequences for people from all walks of life. And it sends a horrible signal for the future of our country.

You see, attacks against the right to an abortion are attacks against all of us – against our access to health care, against our autonomy, against our dignity and against the human rights and civil liberties we hold dear.

This news is scary, difficult and overwhelming. But I will never – ever – give up this fight.
