Sara Kruzan was only 16 when she was tried as an adult for killing her trafficker and sentenced to life in prison without parole. Released early after a national campaign on her behalf, Sara now advocates for the rights of incarcerated women and children. Sara courageously shares her story in her new memoir, written with Cori Thomas, I Cried to Dream Again: Trafficking, Murder, and Deliverance.*

Sara’s experience as a child trafficking victim has inspired legislation known as “Sara’s Law,” which would reform juvenile sentencing to ensure that no child is convicted without considering the horrific circumstances they endured.

Join ECPAT-USA on May 12 at 6 p.m. EDT for a meaningful and significant conversation about these issues and the movement that Sara’s story has inspired. Register now ([link removed]) .

*Registrants will receive an excerpt of Sara’s memoir. To pre-order the book, click here ([link removed]) .
