Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers are the backbone of our communities, and they work so hard to give our youth a quality education. My father was a special-ed teacher and I am a product of Colorado public schools. I grew up seeing the dedication, care, and effort public educators put in for their students first hand.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers are the backbone of our communities, and they work so hard to give our youth a quality education. My father was a special-ed teacher and I am a product of Colorado public schools. I grew up seeing the dedication, care, and effort public educators put in for their students firsthand.

I recently spent time with the Colorado Education Association and was honored to earn their endorsement. I know how hard educators work, and I will continue to advocate for more support, better wages, and the right to organize.
