My team just sent me a wrap-up of our April numbers, and I had to reach out to thank all of you for stepping up and making last month one of our best grassroots fundraising periods to date.

You see, Washington Republicans are targeting this district. I’m one of their top targets to beat in November, and we just got word that the largest Republican super PAC reserved $1.75 million in TV ad space to run even more attacks in the weeks leading up to the election right here in Connecticut.

And this week’s infuriating news of the Supreme Court’s plans to overturn Roe v. Wade should serve as a reminder of just how much is at stake this November. If the Supreme Court won’t protect the right to choose, it’s up to us in Congress to act – and we can’t let the radical right win.

We’ve won tough races before, and I know we can do it again. But only if we continue building this campaign brick by brick with real people like you chipping in $5, $10, or $15 when they can.
