John, it’s official. The United States Supreme Court has confirmed that Justice Alito’s draft opinion is authentic and indicates the court’s plan to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Though abortion is still legal right now, this is a serious warning sign for what’s to come, so we must be ready. Moments like this call on all of us to a higher purpose. Above division and mudslinging, we must rise to hold one another close and defend our right to our bodies.

The true enemy is the modern GOP and their right-wing apparatus. They are the ones who pose the biggest threat to civil rights in recent American history. I refuse to engage in any divisiveness among members of my own party. Now is the time for us to come together and unify against the real threat.

John, this is serious. People’s lives truly are on the line with a decision like this one. I am wholly committed to defending and expanding reproductive rights as I’ve proven time and again in the State Senate. So, in Congress, you can count on me to be a solid vote to codify Roe v. Wade into law.
