On 16 May we’ll officially be relaunching our organisation, changing our name from Jubilee Debt Campaign to Debt Justice.
We’d love it if you could join us at our online launch event to celebrate and hear from an amazing line up of speakers on why the need for debt justice is more urgent than ever.
Right now, 54 countries are in debt crisis - undermining the ability of governments to deliver basic public services and fight the climate emergency. Here in the UK, almost half of adults in Britain, 25 million people, are now in debt or concerned about falling into debt.
We need to grow our movement and build our power to meet this challenge.
And I know that together we can do it.Our organisation has a proud history of campaigning for, and winning, debt cancellation as part of a global movement to end unjust debt and the poverty and inequality it perpetuates.
Our line-up of speakers includes Grace Blakeley, author and Journalist and renowned economist Jayati Ghosh. As well as Mozambican campaigner Denise Namburete.
With the pandemic still on-going in many countries around the world and surging costs affecting many of us at home, now more than ever we must grow our movement to demand debt justice.
