John,

In the wake of COVID-19, Working Families put together The People’s Charter, a series of policy ideas and value statements that all progressives should get behind.

I support all of these — but Rep. Donald Payne Jr. can’t say the same. And once we look at some of the key policies here, it will be clear that I’m the ONLY progressive in this race.

Let’s take a look at just a few of these:

“Shift resources away from policing, jails and detention centers, [and] endless wars”

Payne Jr.: Supports military aid to Israel and takes money from weapons manufacturers

Imani: Calls for justice in Palestine and an end to endless wars

“Tax the giant corporations who don’t pay their share.”

Payne Jr.: Takes money from giant corporations including ExxonMobil, Amazon, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Enbridge, and more.

Imani: Refuses to take a single cent from corporate PACs.

“Invest now to make our food, water, electricity, health, financial and other systems resilient to future crises like climate change.”

Payne Jr.: Refuses to sign on to the Green New Deal or the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge.

Imani: Recognized as a Green New Deal Champion (Check it out!)

We know Payne Jr. has taken money from the worst actors. We know that I’m fighting for JUSTICE and running a people-powered campaign.
