When I decided to run for office, I was told that I couldn't do it. Not because this seat isn’t flippable. Not because of my commitment to progressive values. Friend, I was told that I couldn’t run because I didn't have a contact list full of wealthy friends to fund my campaign.

But I didn't listen. I don't think there should be an admission fee to participate in our democracy, and I'm betting you don't either.
