Right now in Somalia, 90% of the country is in a severe drought after three consecutive rainy seasons failed. A fourth failed rainy season is expected and conditions will worsen.
Many people have lost everything – their land, livelihoods, and even their family members. While immediate humanitarian aid, like providing food and cash vouchers, provides temporary relief for people, a sustained response is critical.
