Friend, it's time to Vote!

Early voting will continue through May 14th! Check here <[link removed]> to find the location closest to you. Remember: you can register to vote and update your registration during early voting!

So many voices were involved in the last PA-PAC meeting. The PA-PAC works hard to keep participatory democracy alive in Durham. The list of endorsed candidates can be downloaded at this link <[link removed]> or go to www.peoplesalliancepac.org to see the sample ballot.

The PAC is also seeking volunteers to help share about our endorsed candidates at the polls. In many elections, voters are looking for guidance and that could be from YOU. (Sign-up to volunteer at their website! <[link removed]>)

COME OUT to the Election Night Watch Party on May 17th. Details to follow.

The PA team is Growing

Welcome to our Lead Coordinator and Summer Intern

The PA Board of Directors is excited to bring on a Lead Coordinator and a Summer Intern to join our work.

Ann Rebeck is the new Lead Coordinator, and Ayanna Watkins is our summer intern. They will both support the work of the PA Board and the action teams. Ann is a long-time PA member and public school advocate. Ayanna is a rising Senior at UNC Charlotte, majoring in English and Education. She graduated from J.D. Clement Early College in 2021.

Please say "hello" to Ann ([email protected]) and Ayanna ([email protected]). Feel free to contact them with ideas, questions, or to find out ways to get involved in our advocacy work!

An exciting opportunity:

The Poor People's Campaign is Marching on Washington this June! Buses are leaving from multiple stops in Durham. Watch our website and Social Media for more information about how to attend!

Progressive Leaders matter!

Jillian Johnson tells us <[link removed]> why Progressive Leadership can really make a difference.

The People’s Alliance needs your support to continue our community-driven advocacy. Please contribute whatever you are able to at this time or consider becoming a monthly sustainer!
