This week, a leaked draft opinion showed the Supreme Court is on the verge of overturning Roe v. Wade, which would give state legislatures the power to restrict or ban abortion.

So what does this mean for our democracy? The Supreme Court’s final and upcoming decision will automatically ban most or all abortions in 13 states and disproportionately harm low-income pregnant people, particularly in communities of color.
