John,
The congressional map that Ron DeSantis bullied the Republican legislature into adopting – “the DeSantis Plan” – diminishes minority voting power and would cement a GOP majority. Not only is this map illegal, it is undemocratic, unpatriotic, and just plain wrong.
Make no mistake – DeSantis and his buddies are upset that our movement stopped them from drawing themselves into a congressional majority. This is how they're fighting back. Given a choice between competing for political power on an even playing field and tearing down free and fair elections, they are choosing the latter.
But we won't let them get away with it.
Already, the DeSantis map has been met with huge public outcry. Voters have filed suit. And the NDRC is ready to hold Republicans like DeSantis accountable in the 2022 elections.
