Community & Family Learning helps people who have low, or no formal qualifications, are under skilled, or are finding it difficult to find work.
Our community courses can
- Improve personal confidence for parents and children
- Raise aspirations
- Improve social skills
- Help people gain the skills to prepare for work

There are no costs to the training if you:
- Are aged 19+, have been a resident in the UK/EU for 3 years +
- Have less than 5 GCSE’s grade A-C
- Are in receipt of benefits
- Are a parent who needs support helping their child/ren with English, maths or keeping them safe online

Who are NCHA?
Nottingham Community Housing Association has been around since 1973, and these days, they house more than 20,000 people across the East Midlands. They manage 10,000 homes in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.
They employ over 1,100 people who benefit from training opportunities, apprenticeships and a huge range of staff benefits.
Nottingham Community Housing Association also provide care and support services all over our region. Our work covers mental health, learning disabilities, domestic violence, Asian elders, vulnerable young people, homelessness, teenage parents and older people, whether they need a place to live or support in their own home.

The Families Information Service and ASK LION are available to help families in Nottingham city find childcare, information on funded early years entitlements for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, and information on financial support to help with childcare costs.
