Polling day is upon us!

As ever, this local election is incredibly important. The councillors you elect today will collectively spend more than £1 billion over the next few years.

Roads, schools, environmental services, housing and social care. All are delivered by the council.

This time around there are some new names on the ballot paper. Community champions have stepped forward from all corners of the county to stand up for their areas as Conservatives.
We now have a realistic chance of breaking the habit of Pembrokeshire being a so called 'independent' council.

In reality many 'independents' aren’t really independent at all. They operate and vote as a party, yet escape the scrutiny that comes with the territory for all the major political parties.

That's why I hope that our slate of Conservative councillors offer not only a truly localised alternative, but a properly accountable one too.

I hope we get to see what they can do.
