Patriot,

Before we start the holiday, I wanted to send over one of my
favorite Thanksgiving recipes: Patriot Potatoes!

I promise you’ll love these.

This is a holiday twist to mashed potatoes, and you can add in
as much "kick" as you like:
* Peel and quarter 8 medium Yukon Gold potatoes and add them to 2
cups of heavy cream and 2 cups of whole milk.
* Add 4 peeled and smashed garlic cloves, 4 sprigs of thyme, and
1 bay leaf.
* Now gently boil for 15 minutes until the potatoes are fully
cooked.
* Remove from heat and STRAIN the potatoes BUT KEEP the cream.
* Remove the thyme, bay leaf, and any remaining garlic.
* Now here's the secret that makes them unique: mash the potatoes
and FOLD in the cream mixture.
* Finally, fold in a tablespoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of
butter, a tablespoon (or more to taste) of whole-grain mustard
(trust me) and add kosher salt and pepper to taste.

And that’s it!
