Monday night, it was reported that the Supreme Court has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade. SCOTUS has long functioned as the ultimate arbiter of the Constitution – but with Trump’s three ultra-conservative appointments, the court all but answers to the far-right agenda.
Justices should be loyal to the Constitution – not any political party or president.
So some Democrats have proposed a solution: Court expansion. There’s even a bill in Congress right now that would expand the court from nine justices to 13 – allowing President Biden to nominate four new justices.
But it’s a controversial move, so we want to see what Democrats think about it.
