We Won't Go Back
On Monday night Politico [[link removed]] released a leaked draft opinion from Supreme Court Justice Alito stating the court is poised to overrule Roe v. Wade. We responded with the follow quote:
“If this Supreme Court does decide to impose its unpopular, far-right views, then we must stand united in support of abortion rights. Here in Colorado, we are proud to have passed the Reproductive Health Equity Act [[link removed]] this session to ensure that a women’s right to choose is protected in our state.
We must continue to fight for the Democratic values we believe in by showing up and voting. We will not allow this extremist court to take us backward.” - Morgan Carroll, Chair Democratic Party.
What does this mean for Colorado?
Earlier this session the Democratic Majority of the Legislator along with Governor Polis signed RHEA into law, which protects unrestricted access to abortion in our state. However, a Republican majority or Governor could overturn this in the future.
We have also seen an increase of people coming to Colorado to receive care and we anticipate this to increase if Roe is overturned.
What do people think?
Republicans’ MAGA agenda is wildly out of touch and unpopular with the American people.

Rhonda Solis for State Board of Education
"Hi, My name is Rhonda Solis, and I’m running for the State Board of Education. [[link removed]]
I recently completed my second term on the Greeley-Evans Schools board of education, serving the students, families, and educators of District 6 for the past eight years with foresight and innovation; always keeping the excellent students we serve, and the challenges and obstacles they may encounter in mind.
I bring the perspective of a Colorado public school education, innovative ideas that work for our families, and a great deal of experience working collaboratively in support of our educators and our schools.
A quality public education is vital for the state of Colorado, because our students are the future leaders of Colorado, and they are worth fighting for! I’ve seen a lot of great work done for our students and families, and for our teachers and educators across Colorado, and I think there’s still more work ahead of us.
Follow my campaign and learn more about how you can get involved and support our efforts." - Rhoda Solis via Instagram

[[link removed]] In Memoriam: Kelley Brookes
Kelley lived life with great intensity. Whether she was working for an issue at the Capitol or trying to help a friend, she was always a force of nature and not easily dissuaded once she put her mind to something. In addition to her lobbying activities, she was also engaged in political campaigns, both for candidates and issue initiatives.
