We’re at a fork in the road. Arkansans are faced with two choices in this election: Do we want our state to go down a path of extremism, division, and stripped freedoms? 

Or, do we want to choose a path of hope, faith, and opportunity for everyone? 

With Arkansas’ trigger laws in place, the Supreme Court’s draft decision to overturn Roe v. Wade has drawn even more attention to the consequences of this choice. 

As Governor of Arkansas, I will support the common sense protections and restrictions permitted today by Roe v. Wade. I will veto any extreme anti-abortion rights bills from the legislature, and I will work across the aisle to address the root causes of abortion, including financial insecurity and lack of access to family planning.

My future opponent, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, has indicated that she will not. 

The choice is clear. But we’re going to be up against the GOP and their powerful resources. 

So, with our primary just around the corner, I’m asking: Will you rush $20 right now to help our campaign win our primary, defeat Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and spread opportunity all over the state to improve the lives of every Arkansan?  

Together we have the opportunity to show the nation what it means to campaign on our values — not repeated conservative talking points — and win in so-called “deep red” states. 

Right now, Arkansas is dead last in voter registration and turnout — and some folks would like to keep it that way. With your support, we will reverse this trend and change who gets involved in our elections and who represents our state — one vote at a time.

I’ve been to every county, knocking on doors, hosting community events, and talking to every Arkansan I can about what’s at stake in this race. 

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, on the other hand, has put in little effort to connect with Arkansans and the issues that matter to them. Even as a leading candidate, Sarah didn’t even show up at the Arkansas Press Debates a few weeks ago to talk about her ideas for our state. 

I’m showing up and doing the work. But I need you in this fight with me. Our opponents are prepared to spend big on this race, and our campaign is only possible because of your grassroots support. Can you please pitch in $20 right now to put us in the strongest position possible to win?
