Team,

Because Rep. Tony Gonzales is the most vulnerable member of Congress, he invited Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and a delegation to make a mockery of a serious situation plus the men and women who work hard everyday to address the multitude of challenges at the border.

To them it’s a photo op. So, instead, John wanted to start creating real solutions.

In partnership with the Maverick County Democrats, community leaders, and local stakeholders — John hosted a "Our Border, Our Solutions" round table in Eagle Pass, TX  about the border and the lifting of Title 42.

Title 42 is a pandemic-era health order used by federal immigration officials to expel migrants —  including asylum-seekers — at the U.S.-Mexico border.

John Lira wants to ensure that we are working together to make decisions about this as important as this — and that he can take solutions to Washington to protect the people and our border.

This is the kind of representative we deserve — someone who prioritizes creating solutions for the people over photo ops. If you also believe our representative should work for the people, make a donation right now to fund our work on the ground to elect John Lira.

This is what it looks like when a leader works together with a community.

This is what it looks like when a leader hears the people out, and includes their voices in decision and policy making.

This is what it looks like for a leader to jump in and start making real change for a district.

Unfortunately, our current Rep. Tony Gonzales is doing the very opposite of all of this — doing little to nothing to solve the serious immigration and border issues we are facing.

It’s time for a change — and a leader the people deserve. Make a donation right now to fund our fight to replace Tony Gonzales with that leader, John Lira.

Thank you for your support,
