On Monday night, Politico reported the Supreme Court was set to overturn
Roe v. Wade with the release of a leaked majority draft. Now, right-wing
extremists and conservative representatives are preparing to end federal
abortion — and they're being supported by House Democrat, Henry Cuellar.

That's right, John
— Cuellar was the only House Democrat to vote against the Women's Health
Protection Act last year. He's even received recent awards from the March
for Life, an extreme right-wing anti-abortion group.

In less than three weeks Jessica Cisneros will face her second Election
Day — a run-off election against Henry Cuellar to represent Texas' 28th
District in the House of Representatives.

We need to ramp up our support for Jess right now if we want to ensure
that our progressive movement is able to grow — and that Henry Cuellar and

I am proud to be one of the first sitting members of Congress to endorse
Jessica Cisneros back in December — and throughout her campaign, I've
continued to support Jess because we know just how dangerous and
destructive Henry Cuellar truly is.

For the last 17 years, Cuellar has voted alongside Republican and
conservative actors — with strong ties to anti-choise organizations and
ultra-wealthy Republican donors. According to Cuellar's voting records —
last year, he voted with Trump 70% of the time.

Cuellar has spent over $2 million trying to fight off Jess and our
progressive movement — but we're showing no signs of slowing down. If we
can continue growing our momentum and support for Jess, we will see
victory for our progressive movement and inspire other leaders to step up
and challenge the broken status-quo in their communities.

Now more than ever, we are being shown just how important it is to have
true progressive allies in our government who are willing to do everything
in their power to fight for our values.
