“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled”

Team: Those are Justice Alito’s words in a draft majority opinion published by Politico Monday night – indicating that the Supreme Court plans to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Folks, this is devastating news. It’s a direct attack on a person’s right to reproductive health care, and it is the low-income, women, and people of color who will bear the brunt of this decision.

Since its creation, Future Forum Democrats in Congress have been on the frontlines of the fight to protect reproductive health care – but we need your help to keep up the fight.

With the Supreme Court signaling its intention to overturn Roe, it’s up to us to protect reproductive health care, and that will only happen with a Democratic majority. Future Forum Democrats already helped pass the Women’s Health Protection Act protecting access to reproductive health care, and we will only get it across the line if Democrats are in charge, not Republicans. Let’s be clear: reproductive health care will be easier to access for those with the financial means.

The wealthy person in Georgia will always be able to fly to California for reproductive healthcare, but the low-income person will not.

A low-income person will be forced to either have children they are not ready for, or take an unsafe step that could lead to death. And in some states that are attempting to outlaw traveling out of the state for reproductive health care, someone could ultimately be charged with a crime.

Americans’ lives are at risk, and we need to unify today to ensure the party working to protect reproductive healthcare is in the majority, and not Republicans. Contribute today and defend the right to reproductive healthcare for all.
