[1]Cori Bush

We don’t want to downplay this,
John.

We're currently witnessing the most dangerous attacks on reproductive
rights in our lifetime.

Earlier this week, news broke that the Supreme Court is planning to repeal
Roe v. Wade. So now, more than half of our country’s state legislatures
are preparing to finally ban abortion access. We can’t let that happen.
Our rights can’t be rolled back by five people in robes voting to take
away our bodily autonomy.

We have very little time left to act, but we must fight together these
next weeks to make sure our leaders take urgent action. Here’s what needs
to happen next:

 1. The Senate must abolish the filibuster so we can finally get rid of
this antiquated procedure that’s preventing the Senate from passing
Democratic legislation.
 2. And then the Senate must finally pass the Women’s Health Protection
Act so we can codify our rights under Roe v. Wade.

It’s going to take a grassroots wave of pressure to make sure the Senate
takes action. [ [link removed] ]Add your name right now to demand the Senate abolishes
the filibuster and passes the Women’s Health Protection Act.

PASS THE WOMEN'S HEALTH PROTECTION ACT →

Passing the Women’s Health Protection Act is our best and most effective
chance at protecting abortion access ahead of the Supreme Court’s upcoming
decision. The House of Representatives passed this essential bill, and
President Biden is ready to sign it into law.

But months ago, when the WHPA was first introduced in the Senate, the
filibuster prevented us once again from passing life-saving legislation.
The Senate is refusing to defend our reproductive freedom — but we can’t
afford to just give up,
John.

That’s why we need our movement to come together. Cori has been sharing
her personal story about why she decided to get an abortion, putting
pressure on Congress to make sure we pass policies that would secure
reproductive health justice, and calling for an end to the filibuster so
we can get this done — but she can’t do this work alone.

The Supreme Court’s decision to reverse Roe v. Wade will be official in
the coming weeks so we need to act fast. [ [link removed] ]Will you add your name right
now to our petition so we can show our leaders how many of you agree with
Cori that we must abolish the filibuster and pass the Women’s Health
Protection Act?

PASS THE WOMEN'S HEALTH PROTECTION ACT →

Together,

Team Cori
