We know the Supreme Court’s draft decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is on a lot of people’s minds today. It’s certainly on ours. Yesterday, Lizzie joined Houstonians downtown at the #BansOffOurBodies rally, visiting with constituents and catching up with some of the original members of #TeamLizzie from the 2018 campaign!

As Lizzie said yesterday, we cannot rely solely on the courts to protect our autonomy, dignity, and privacy. We need to keep fighting — and winning elections.
We need to elect leaders who will stand up for our rights — leaders like Lizzie, who voted to codify Roe and make it the law of the land, who introduced a bill to put a stop to abortion bounties, and who is fighting to make sure all Texans have access to safe, affordable, nonjudgmental reproductive care. |
This week is National Teachers Appreciation Week!
At one point or another, all of us have benefitted from the wisdom and support of a great teacher. Today, we want to thank all of the teachers on #TeamLizzie and in TX-07 who make it their life’s work to engage, inspire, and educate our young students — that includes our campaign treasurer and middle school history teacher, Gordon Center, as well as so many of Lizzie’s elementary, high school, and college teachers who have supported our campaign for years!
With the challenges of teaching during the pandemic, and all the challenges in this moment in our politics, teachers have gone above and beyond for our kids. Lizzie will keep fighting to help teachers have the resources and opportunities they need to do their work that is vital to the future of our country and our world!
Thanks to them, and to you, for being part of the team, Team Lizzie
