Team, by now I’m sure you’ve seen the news about the leaked Supreme Court decision when it comes to overturning Roe v. Wade.
Let me be clear – if this decision becomes final, this will be disastrous for Arizona. It will put the lives of Arizonans at risk and will send us back a hundred years. >
Our path forward is clear – we MUST flip Arizona completely blue and elect pro-choice AZ Dems who will work to protect reproductive rights on a state level.
Team, if the far-right extremists on SCOTUS want to send these decisions back to the states, then we must fight this battle here at the state level. Due to trigger laws and decades-old legislation, any decision to remove Roe could immediately mean the end to reproductive freedom in Arizona. If that doesn’t happen, you can be certain the Republicans currently in charge of the state legislature will find a way to pass new laws completely banning abortion – with no exceptions.
But if we elect pro-choice Democrats, we can repeal these laws and codify protections. If the courts are going to follow the GOP down an extremist path and overturn decades of precedent, then we have to pass laws to make things right again.
