Hi Friend,
This morning I woke up feeling crushed by the implications of last night’s leaked draft opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. And while I’m not surprised, I’m furious, and like you, I want to do something about it.
Will you be one of the hundred people to give $10 to support Reproductive Justice today? [[link removed]]
In mere months, more than two dozen states across the South and Midwest prepare to follow a devastating outcome at the Supreme Court with sweeping abortion bans. As an organization rooted in the South and Midwest, URGE is preparing for this reality by grounding in what we do best and the communities that we center.
In the days and years to come, URGE will support young people in accessing what they need now, while building young people power in states that have lost abortion access, to overturn abortion bans and reclaim our rights.
URGE needs your support to advance three strategies to address the mounting crisis of abortion access: [[link removed]]

PRESERVE AND DEFEND access through our State and Federal policy work to halt the procession of abortion bans and expand access to medication abortion. This includes vital work in states like Kansas, where we are fighting a ballot initiative that seeks to dismantle abortion access.

COMMUNITY CARE & CULTURE WORK: URGE will provide essential information on self-managed abortion with pills to our communities and lead campaigns to address the roots of abortion stigma and normalize self-managed abortion (SMA).

RECLAIM POWER AND RESTORE ACCESS: In 2022, URGE will mobilize thousands of young BIPOC voters in elections which may be broadly considered a national referenda on abortion rights after the loss of Roe. It is only through building the power of young and BIPOC voters that we will transform the political landscape, protect democracy, and restore abortion access in our states.

Friend, we cannot win the fight alone – Can I count on you to be one of 100 donors who make a gift of $100 [[link removed]] today? Or maybe be one of 1000 donors who give $10 [[link removed]] today?

History books will mark 2022 as the year we lost the constitutional protection of legal abortion. We cannot forget how we got here: our opposition spent decades and untold resources investing in culture-shift, community organizing, and building power in the states. If we want to win back abortion rights, and sustain that win, we must do the same.
