The beautiful spring weather is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activity: jogging, bike riding--assaults and robberies!
That's right, the bad guys are active too. Learn how to protect yourself outdoors from carjacking, robbery, assault while jogging and more at the May meeting of TTP's Tactical Training and Preparedness group (TTP Squared).
Robert Beverly, founder of security firm Texas Defense Force, will teach important outdoor situational awareness and evasive action you and your loved ones can take to avoid becoming a victim of crimes of outdoor opportunity.
In this meeting, you will learn:
how to identify potential threats
the importance of mindset and preparation
evasive maneuvers to avoid contact whether walking or driving alone after dark
and much more!

Garden Growers Co-op Meeting - Spring Celebration and Ladybug Launch
Gardens are planted--now come the challenges! Meet up with fellow gardeners and want-to-be gardeners to share insights and experience on how to defeat pests, keep plants healthy and growing, and have some fun! Plus meet retired food scientist Julia Sheaffer who is growing her own nine-bed garden in Keller. (Among other foods, Julia helped develop goat milk ice cream you can find at Central Market or Whole Foods.)
Other features of this May meeting include:
A live ladybug launch--tiny heroes of the garden. Catch a few to take home, if you can.
Learn how to create a perennial pollinator garden, and how to let the pollinators, like hummingbird moths, literally help you shop for plants!
Practice propagation--snip any herbs or teas you'd like to take home and propagate from Diane Velasco's healing garden. A propagation station on site will get you started.
Got a green thumb? Adopt a plant from her plant "hospital ward" to take home and nurse back to health for your own garden.
Thanks to a special relationship with Fort Worth urban farmer James Samudio, professional organic products like MicroLife All-In-One Fertilizer will be available for sale at cost, plus samples to try at home. MicroLife fertilizer eliminates the need for multiple types of fertilizers like rose food, tree and shrub food, and vegetable/herb food.

The beautiful spring weather is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activity: jogging, bike riding--assaults and robberies!
That's right, the bad guys are active too. Learn how to protect yourself outdoors from carjacking, robbery, assault while jogging and more at the May meeting of TTP's Tactical Training and Preparedness group (TTP Squared).
Robert Beverly, founder of security firm Texas Defense Force, will teach important outdoor situational awareness and evasive action you and your loved ones can take to avoid becoming a victim of crimes of outdoor opportunity.
In this meeting, you will learn:
how to identify potential threats
the importance of mindset and preparation
evasive maneuvers to avoid contact whether walking or driving alone after dark
and much more!

Garden Growers Co-op Meeting - Spring Celebration and Ladybug Launch
Gardens are planted--now come the challenges! Meet up with fellow gardeners and want-to-be gardeners to share insights and experience on how to defeat pests, keep plants healthy and growing, and have some fun! Plus meet retired food scientist Julia Sheaffer who is growing her own nine-bed garden in Keller. (Among other foods, Julia helped develop goat milk ice cream you can find at Central Market or Whole Foods.)
Other features of this May meeting include:
A live ladybug launch--tiny heroes of the garden. Catch a few to take home, if you can.
Learn how to create a perennial pollinator garden, and how to let the pollinators, like hummingbird moths, literally help you shop for plants!
Practice propagation--snip any herbs or teas you'd like to take home and propagate from Diane Velasco's healing garden. A propagation station on site will get you started.
Got a green thumb? Adopt a plant from her plant "hospital ward" to take home and nurse back to health for your own garden.
Thanks to a special relationship with Fort Worth urban farmer James Samudio, professional organic products like MicroLife All-In-One Fertilizer will be available for sale at cost, plus samples to try at home. MicroLife fertilizer eliminates the need for multiple types of fertilizers like rose food, tree and shrub food, and vegetable/herb food.
