John,
In the coming weeks, we will learn if the U.S. Supreme Court decides to overturn Roe v. Wade, and reports suggest they are poised to do so.
If Roe v. Wade is overturned, Michigan will revert back to a dangerous 1931 state law that bans nearly all abortion in Michigan and criminalizes health care providers.
But I’m not waiting. That’s why I filed a lawsuit and used my executive authority to urge the Michigan Supreme Court to immediately affirm the right to abortion and ensure Michigan’s arcane 1931 ban never goes back into effect.
The stakes are high. Anti-choice extremists have their eye on Michigan. Right now, I am the last line of defense against these radical efforts, and I’m ready to fight like hell.
This election is critical for the future of our state, now more than ever. I’m asking you to rush a contribution of $5 to make sure we keep Michigan out of the hands of anti-choice extremists.
