John, we have some bad news.

With the Supreme Court’s extremist draft opinion threatening to overturn the right to bodily autonomy, expanding the electorate for this year’s elections have become even more crucial.

The Governor’s veto power could be the only thing standing between the Republican legislature and our reproductive rights. The Republican seat in the Senate could be the difference between federal action and eternal filibusters. The state legislature could even go from attacking our rights to protecting them, if we flip enough seats.

Those are all things that the majority of Americans AND Pennsylvanians believe in and are very much on the ballot in Pennsylvania this election. This means we have to push even harder to expand the electorate in the Commonwealth to include often ignored communities of color and the youth and be sure they make their voices heard in every election — twice a year.

John, we have to stop letting the far-right minority of Americans and elected officials dictate how the rest of us can live. That means making our government reflect the values of all Americans, and the only surefire way to do it is expanding the electorate. Can you donate today to help us make that a reality in Pennsylvania? →

The Supreme Court’s draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade is not just cruel, it is an extremist attack on majority rule. Poll after poll shows the vast majority of the country believes Roe should stand — yet five Supreme Court justices, most of whom were appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote, plan to use their power to completely revoke the right to bodily autonomy.

And, once again, it doesn’t stop at Roe. If this extremist draft becomes official, this would set a precedent for constitutional rights that have been granted to all Pennsylvanians and Americans alike. Contraception, interracial marriage, gay marriage, and same-sex intimacy are all on the ballot for our foreseeable future.

John, the only way to guarantee the protection of our rights is to expand the electorate to include often neglected communities of color and the youth and be sure these new voters vote in every election, twice a year. That’s what we’ve been doing all along, but this seriously increases the urgency of our work. Will you make a contribution right now to help expand the electorate in Pennsylvania?
