In just the last few weeks, we’ve seen former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, Fiona Hill from the National Security Council, and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman -- immigrants who’ve dedicated their lives to serving their adopted country -- stand up to attacks from the White House, testify truthfully, and exemplify the best of America.
During the same time, we’ve seen a president and a political party so obsessed with power that they can hardly move fast enough to throw each other under the bus.
None of this corruption would have been exposed if we hadn’t flipped the House in 2018 and elected the most progressive, diverse Congress in history. At ASPIRE, it’s our mission to flood the halls of Congress with progressive people of color, like ASPIRE members Reps. Ted Lieu and Pramila Jayapal, who have been leading the resistance to Trump’s criminality and bigotry. We’ve already endorsed three progressive people of color running to flip House seats in Texas and Arizona, and that’s just the beginning.
But in order to grow the momentum of 2018 and truly change the country in 2020, we need to ramp up our operation. We’ve got less than a year left until the big election, so we need to hear from 179 more voters by midnight tonight to help set our strategy:
