Friend,

The GOP is waging an all-out attack on reproductive rights, and Monday night, a leaked opinion indicated that the conservatives on the Supreme Court intend to completely overturn the precedent set in Roe v. Wade. 

Let me say in no uncertain terms that this is the wrong decision: It will deny essential healthcare to millions of Americans, particularly in communities of color, low-income communities, and other communities that face existing barriers to care, and it will cost countless lives. 

So while this is only a draft, we need to be prepared. The House has already passed the Women’s Health Protection Act, which will guarantee the right to a safe, legal abortion at the federal level. I will continue to fight to see this important legislation addressed in the US Senate. We must fight back against the radical right wing and their unacceptable attacks on our rights and stand with our community leaders and organizers who are working to ensure everyone can receive the care they need.

This isn't the end, and I'm ready to keep fighting. I hope you are too.
