Economic Democracy Weekly

Today’s Economic Democracy Weekly looks at what building community requires in economic terms. Our first article looks at under-compensation of nonprofit human service workers in New York—and calls for addressing the pay shortfall. Our next article looks at housing policy—showing why housing has become so unaffordable, while offering a framework for ensuring affordable housing for all. These stories are followed by two video clips that are taken from a virtual roundtable held by NPQ earlier this year. In these videos, the speakers offer their observations on how to build a culture that can sustain a solidarity economy.
