We're less than one year away from the most consequential election of our lifetimes, John -- and if we're going to have any shot at winning, we have to make every single day count.

Each and every day from now until November 3, 2020, we have to be building our field program, bolstering our voter protection resources, and continuing to overhaul our tech and data so our candidates have the best tools at their fingertips. We know what we have to do to win, but coming up short on our fundraising throws our plans into jeopardy.

I am asking you to join me in making today count in our fight for 2020, John. This Saturday at midnight is our party's November FEC deadline, and to execute our strategy, Democrats must hit our goal to build essential party infrastructure ahead of the general election. Our records indicate you haven't donated to the DNC yet this year. Your window to make an early impact on this election is rapidly closing, so I am asking you to seize this opportunity to make your mark on 2020 by contributing $7 before our FEC deadline.

I have to be honest with you, John: This month's goal is higher than any we've faced so far this year -- and with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, we'll be leaning on our very best supporters like you to rise to the occasion in a big way to help hit it. According to our data team, if 202 supporters from Washington contribute before Saturday's deadline, we can get there. If that doesn't happen, we could be at serious risk of falling short. That's why I'm coming to you.

We only have a few months left to get our party's infrastructure in place for our eventual nominee and Democrats in every ZIP code. These are just a few of the programs the DNC is heavily investing in as we speed towards the general election:

-- Organizing in battleground states has to happen for Democrats up and down the ticket to win. The DNC is recruiting and training field organizers in key battleground states -- many of which our 2020 presidential candidates can't afford to invest in right now -- to mobilize their communities starting this year. It couldn't be more urgent to scale up these efforts and build a powerhouse ground game for 2020.

-- The Data Warehouse is the centerpiece of the Democratic Party's massive effort to overhaul what was once a crumbling data infrastructure. If we can continue to fully fund it, the warehouse will put our nominee in the best position possible to target voters and win from coast to coast.

-- The DNC War Room is our party's battleground states-focused research and rapid response hub made up of dozens of research, communications, and mobilization experts entirely dedicated to kicking Trump out of the Oval Office. The War Room lifts up local stories of the families most devastated by Trump's disgraceful policies in real time, and will be critical to keeping Trump's poll numbers as low as possible in key battleground states.

Our November fundraising goal is higher than any we've set this year, John, but it's what we absolutely need to raise to keep our most critical programs operating at full capacity. If 202 more supporters from Washington make a gift before Saturday, I know we can reach it together.
