As we saw this week, the prospect that the Supreme Court will overrule Roe v. Wade is more real than ever. We must take seriously what lies ahead, particularly for low-income women in states that are set to criminalize abortion.
We are now entering a new era–and it is more important than ever that Colorado remains a beacon for protecting equal rights for all.
To protect access to safe and legal abortions at the state level, Colorado passed the Reproductive Health Equity Act this spring. And as your Attorney General, I have fought to protect abortion rights and reproductive health care.
⇒ I have opposed the unconstitutional abortion bans across the nation including in Texas, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Louisiana,
⇒ I have defended vital Title X funding for women’s health and reproductive health care, and
⇒ NARAL and Cobalt endorsed me for re-election so I can continue our work to promote equality, safe health care, and bodily autonomy.
As we look ahead, we must recognize that elections—and particularly state elections—matter. Thank you for helping me defend abortion access, individual liberty, and equal rights for all.
