When the spring season finally comes after a cold, harsh winter it really makes me appreciate the abundance that surrounds us. Flowers come into bloom, we get more sunshine as days grow longer, and it gives me a creative boost! ☀️

To harness the creative energy many of us are feeling this time of year, we’re hosting our‘Abundance is Here! Art & Writing Meet-Up’ on Tuesday May 10th @ 6:30pm ET!

I want to invite you to share in this collaborative space to create visual & written art about racial justice.

The past few months, United We Dream, in partnership with Black Lives Matter Houston, has installed a sculpture in the shape of giant sneakers 👟 (right in my hometown of Houston, TX!) to symbolize racial justice and how Black, brown, indigenous, and immigrant communities have all we need within us to Move Into the Future of our dreams. 🌸 Can you join me on our ‘Abundance is Here!’ Art & Writing Meet-up?

At our Art & Writing Meet-up, we’ll do some coloring while we get the chance to hear from a couple of the artists involved in creating this powerful sculpture, pass the mic to some local poets for an open mic, and engage in a writing prompt activity for everyone to contribute to a poem we write collectively.
