I'm Maggie, a Senior Strategist at Stand Up America. I've fought for progressive change most of my life, including as an organizer in the 2016 presidential campaign. I'm incredibly proud to be here with all of you at this critical moment in our history.

I started at Stand Up America a month ago. And it's been a blur: days of public testimony, a dozen witnesses, and a mountain of damning evidence in the impeachment inquiry. Career public servants are showing up every day to pull the curtains back and reveal the true depths of corruption in Trump's White House.

It can feel pretty far away. All of the impeachment action has taken place on Capitol Hill, leaving us watching at home. But our democracy isn't a spectator sport. The time is fast approaching for you to join in the fight at home, make sure your voice is heard, and directly impact the course of history.

Ahead of the House-wide vote on impeachment, I'm taking to the streets to demand Congress impeach and remove Trump -- and I hope you're coming too. Click here to find a rally happening near you:

Showing up in person and standing shoulder to shoulder with other progressives is a powerful way to convey to lawmakers that the American people believe that no one is above the law. As your representative decides how to vote and your senator begins to take stock of where their state is on impeachment, make sure they know exactly where you stand by joining a rally. Nothing will get done if we don't have a strong turnout!

This is a moment where many people feel called to action, but might not know where to begin. One way to start: show up in person and show Trump and the world that you're watching.

This moment reminds me of why I decided to join the 2016 campaign. I answered the call to work on the ground alongside progressives like you because our democracy was on the line -- and I knew that showing up mattered.

The next few weeks will mirror that 2016 moment and will be a huge opportunity to finally hold Trump accountable. For me, it's better to show up and fail fighting for something I believe in than to not even try.

There's still plenty of time to join a protest. I'll be there -- will you?
