WTPC STATEMENT ON OHIO PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS

Akron, OH: Today, Tom Zawistowski, President of the We the People Convention (WTPC), congratulated President Trump and his endorsed candidates in Ohio for winning every race for which he endorsed. Zawistowski said, "The people of the Great State of Ohio have made their voices heard loud and clear with their votes on Tuesday. Their votes say that they trust President Trump to pick the candidates he wants, whom he believes will be the conservative warriors needed to pass the legislation required to re-implement the Make America Great Again Agenda. We congratulate JD Vance for winning a very hard fought Senate race as well as Madison Gesiotto Gilbert for winning the 13th Congressional Primary in a competitive field. Max Miller won the 7th Congressional Primary and Mike Carey won the 15th Congressional Primary, but most impressively, Trump-endorsed outsider J.R. Majewski won the Ohio 9th District Primary in a surprise win over two formidable Ohio legislators. The bottom line is that a Trump endorsement in every race was backed up by Ohio voters."

Zawistowski concluded, "After all 13 Trump-backed candidates won in Ohio, and nine more won in Indiana on Tuesday, no one should doubt that the Republican Party is Trump's Party and his endorsements can carry an election like no President in history. The results in Ohio show that Trump's endorsement was the determining factor in who won those races. We thank every candidate who ran for office in Ohio and those who supported their campaigns so that we the voters could have choices on our ballots. We also thank all the poll and election workers who make it possible for all of us to exercise our right to vote!  Now that the Primary is over, Ohio Republican voters must come together behind the winning candidates in order to win the General Elections in November in order to keep Ohio a red state. I pledge that our organization will do all we can to help every Republican win in November."
