Ógras launched a video on Earth Day 22 April, which shows the impact of climate change around the world. The video contains stories from young people around the world discussing how climate change is affecting their rights.

Young People's National Consensus Workshop
On Saturday May 7th, Youth Work Ireland's first young people's Workshop will take place in Dublin. This event is being led by their Youth Participation Panel and is for young people aged 13–19 who are interested in having their voices heard about issues important to them.

Irish Youth Music Awards All Ages Youth Music Festival

ConCorda Chamber Music Course for Strings
Applications are open for ConCorda Chamber Music Course for Strings 2022, supported by the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras. The course will take place in Newtown School, Waterford from 24th - 30th July. Open to string players aged 14 – 26 of grade 5 or equivalent playing standard and above.

Irish Red Cross Youth Digital Community
Irish Red Cross Youth have launched a private, dedicated space for volunteers aged 18-25 to network, learn online at their own pace, develop projects, and share ideas and opportunities. Membership is free.

YIFM: Bursary for young Filmmakers or Animators
Screen Ireland Bursary is aimed at supporting creative young people aged between 16-19yrs, from historically disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds or circumstances to attend a ten day residential film & animation camp in Kilkenny this August.

STAND are now accepting applications for the Ideas Collective, STAND’s summer boot camp for changemakers. ** Young people and Heritage Engagement

The Office of Public Works is carrying out a study on Gen Z engagement with OPW heritage sites, focusing on digital engagement in particular. The study initially involves a review of all OPW heritage sites social media accounts in order to determine current levels of engagement amongst 18-25 year olds.

** Quality Standards for Youth Volunteering

Volunteer Ireland are inviting organisations in Ireland, who are involved in the coordination or management of youth volunteering programmes and/or activities to participate in this award. Their jury will assess applications for the award using the recently defined European Quality Standards in Youth Volunteering and the winner will be invited to attend an award ceremony in Brussels, Belgium in June 2022.
