Yesterday’s leaked draft opinion from the Supreme Court would be devastating for our country. It would roll back decades of human rights and bodily autonomy — this draft may not be final, but it does shine a light on action Congress must take.

There is a new urgency to this work. We can’t allow legislators to hide behind the filibuster — especially not as the Washington Post revealed that Republicans are discussing a nationwide ban on abortion. The American public needs to know where Congress and the United States Senate stands.
