Last night, Politico reported that an initial draft majority decision from the Supreme Court states that the court seeks to overturn Roe V Wade – the landmark case that guaranteed a woman’s right to an abortion.
Over the last 24 hours, we’ve watched as politicians across the country have taken their stands. Many have decided to speak up in support of this battle. Thank you. But my question to any politician standing up in support of Roe is:
why do you refuse to say the word abortion?
How can we as elected officials or candidates for public service assure the public that we will fight for their right to reproductive healthcare and bodily autonomy if we can’t even say the word!?
Not only can I say the word,I will say abortion – and I will unapologetically support abortion rights and access to reproductive healthcare.
It is your body, it is your choice, it is your decision— and I’m here to fight alongside you as we fight for YOUR rights.
